(Not So) Diverse Ducks
GIF
A visual depiction of the diversity—or lack there of—of University of Oregon students based on geographic origin over the years 1994 - 2011. Each square represents a single student while the colors represent different states or regions of the US (and are derived from the state's name transliterated into numerics and formed into an RGB code). Starting from the bottom with the island states, next comes Washington, then a very obvious chunk of native Oregonians, and a growing deep green California-base, before quickly moving across the midwest to the east. The top blue portion represents all international students from a myraid of different countries.
