McMenOPOLY

Designed as an interactive celebration of McMenamins (local pub faire extraordinaire), I crafted this fully functional board game as part of the annual art festivities accompanying the birthday shenanigans for Barley Mill Pub, the first in the chain of brewpubs.

Having concocted my fair share of Barley Mill Birthday projects in the past, I was no stranger to drawing inspiration from the aquariums that adorned my home-pub. But this year was different. Piqued by a prompt that challenged interactivity and camaraderie, I devised a parody of the classic boardwalk-strolling game: Monopoly.

In the vein of its popular Passport venture, where loyal beer lovers traverse Oregon and Washington urbanscapes for precious stamps from each location, this McMenamins game allows players to own a piece of the pub! By merging the classic collect-em-all game with a beloved brand sought after for its idiosyncratic spots, McMenOPOLY is like a Passport you can fill in time for coffee or dessert!
